RE: Luke, come to the dark side

I think if you stay within the vehicle tow rating by 80% you should be good to go. Safety is important don't try to push the limit it will catch up with you.

RE: HTT & a seasonal site?

I did seasonal last summer in NJ @ Avalon Camp Ground with my hybrid. The management does it's best to keep the rift raft out. They keep a close eye on happenings within the camp ground. I had a very pleasant experience with no brake ins or vandalism. I keep my bunk ends open from April thru October. I did install pop up gizmos. I did not was the trailer once all summer. when I packed up for the winter, I removed the gizmos, shiny clean tenet ends still. The trailer was dirty though. So the bottom line is no damage seen from leaving your tents exposed all summer. Check out your campground well ask other seasonal campers about any problems. I admit the first few times I left the trailer open I was worried. But hey I do have insurance! It sure is great to leave your home in your car instead or your truck any time of day or night you want and trailer is waiting for you. All you have to do is turn your water on, lite your water heater, and your ready.

RE: Tent ends separating from the camper

It's a wide spread problem there is a new design canvas available from your dealer. You may find it's still covered by warrasnty due to the defect.

RE: To clear or not to clear the snow

RE: In for winter warrenty work! UPDATED - LONGGGG RANT

Sounds like the same scenario I had with my KZ product Coyote 20C. To make a long story short upon the 5th time back for canvas issue, the dealer had factory reps come to the dealer and replace my canvas and bunk doors. The same thing muddy foot prints dirt trash on new canvas and bunk doors. I asked the service manager don't you look at the quality of work that yous shop does, his response well I didn't think I would have to keep an eye on a factory technician. He was very apologetic and repaired everything. It just seems that they don't care about anything except the initial sale.

RE: Getting the trailer inspected

I reside in Pa. all though it is required to have an annual safety inspection I do not have it done. The reason is it cost $80.00 plus 1/2 tank of fuel. I do a safety check myself. I figure if I get nailed for no sticker I will play stupid and have a fifty fifty chance of a citation. If issued a citation it will still cost less money than having an inspection done. Plus I save two days towing it to the dealer and back. I never had my boat trailer inspected and have gotten away with it since 1989! I haven't had my travel trailer inspected since 2004 with no citation yet! Once your out of state you will not be receiving any fines for not being compliant with Pa's safety inspection! I feel $80.00 is out of site to check brakes, lights, suspension, hitch, chains, and frame. It should only take 1/2 hour tops!

RE: Is there a hybride in your future?

Why would I want an over priced double trouble piece of equipment? Just go hydrogen one engine less headache.

RE: Tacoma Towing Procedure

usually if you put the transfer case in neutral no damage will occur. This will keep the internal transmission parts from turning.
